Jonathan Ware is Managing Director & Associate General Counsel in the Delta Air Lines Law Department, where he leads Delta’s Commercial Transactions and Privacy Teams and oversees Delta’s global patent and trademark portfolio. In addition to supporting billions of dollars of commercial contracting each year, Jonathan and his team collaborate closely with business partners across Delta to enable innovation and solve complex business challenges. Their work has contributed to a number of industry firsts, including designing and launching the first curb-to-gate biometric boarding experience in the US, licensing technology for billion-dollar fleets of computer-enabled aircraft, deploying cutting-edge predictive maintenance technologies to drive operational efficiency, implementing enhanced threat-detection capabilities to expedite customer clearance through airport security, and patenting innovations that better enable vehicles to operate autonomously on the airport tarmac.
