Alexa Limeres is Associate General Counsel for Privacy, Cybersecurity, and AI Governance at Smurfit Westrock, which operates in 40 countries worldwide with 97,000 employees. She leads a global program focused on privacy risk management, cybersecurity, and responsible AI oversight. Alexa has extensive experience helping organizations balance legal, regulatory, and governance obligations with business objectives to effectively use data. She advises on global data protection compliance, cybersecurity risk, crisis management, mergers and acquisitions, third-party risk management, and complex commercial contracting. Her prior experience includes serving as a Privacy Officer in the private sector and as Senior Advisor for Data Policy for the federal government. Alexa is certified by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and currently serves as Chair of the Privacy and Technology Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia.
